Richard Allport Monday

A great week of talks with some incredibly flattering comments from the students themselves who said that some of them would want to pursue a career in the creative industries after listening! So encouraging…and everyone laughed in the right places! (Many thanks to Mr Harris who was the butt of my jolkes!)

Great feeback from the teachers too so all told quite a successful week if you include the talk to Miss Ann Marie Moore’s design group too.

Many thanks to all involved.

Evan Penny’s genius distorted sculptures on display in New York. Pity about the lack of sound but the visuals make up for it!

Richard Allport Young Enterprise Scheme

Q3 Academy’s Young Enterprise Team appeared in the local press calling for support of their new idea that will tackle a major problem in all schools. The team have decided to keep tight lipped regarding the exact details of their idea until the March 6th regional presentation when all will be revealed!

Many thanks to Lisa at the Express and Star for typing so fast. Here’s hoping the local business community will get involved!

Richard Allport Monster

Just a quick note to those schools I have spoken to about the “Make me a Monster” themed workshops, the module is almost finished and now has an accompanying set of analytical notes for assessment and evaluation purposes.

I look forward to posting some of the bonkers results we will no doubt get!

Richard Allport Busy

Many thanks to all the schools I’ve visited over the last two weeks in preparation for some interesting courses and workshops in the upcoming term. The level of creativity within all the schools I’ve been welcomed into is quite staggering and so encouraging!

Everyone has been so hospitable and shown great interest in my ideas, so many thanks to all involved, I’m really looking forward to working with you and drinking way too much coffee!
